Anti-cox-2

It is commonly used as anti-inflammatory drugs (celecoxib, rofecoxib, etc..) which was recently studied a possible use in cancer of the colon and lung, which would seem to inhibit cell growth and induce apoptosis or cell death cancer cells. Recent acquisitions on the safety profile of these drugs have shown an increase in cardiovascular events in people who used it in a long-term use. These data led the U.S. regulatory agencies to withdraw from the market in these molecules as a precautionary measure, and therefore, pending further clarification, their use can not be recommended.
