Biological drugs under study
The new biologic drugs are often used in combination with chemotherapy. Obviously the development of new chemotherapy, less toxic, associated with biological therapies, opens up new and interesting perspectives. In fact in most studies based on the association between monoclonal antibodies and chemotherapy it is reported an important enhancement of therapeutic action.
In addition to the drugs described above, are currently being studied numerous other new drugs in oncology, with different indications and mechanisms of action. In this category are some of these. Of course, many more are currently under study and, given the continuous acquisition of new molecular biology, their number is increasing. Through the development and use of biological agents, antineoplastic regimens in the future could be specifically modulated according to the molecular characteristics of cancer of individual patients.
